Monthly Payment Policy, Make-Up Lessons, and Tuition Waiver Requests
Paying by the month is a good option for families who are not ready to commit to a full semester, or for families for whom a monthly payment is more manageable than a lump sum in terms of cash flow.
Students are expected to pay for the entire month of lessons in advance by cash, personal check or Zelle. Payment for the month is due at the first lesson of the month. Your payment reserves your instruction time for the month and prohibits Birdsong Studios from selling that instruction time to another client.
If a student misses a lesson due to illness or an unexpected emergency or event, every attempt will be made to offer a make-up lesson in a timely fashion. In the event that no suitable time can be found, the student will forfeit the lesson fee.
If Alexa needs to cancel a lesson for any reason, the student will be offered a make-up lesson or alternatively the lesson fee will be credited towards the following month's tuition.
Students who anticipate missing an appointment during an upcoming month may verbally request a waiver of the lesson fee prior to or during the first lesson of the month. Waivers will be limited to two unpaid lessons per student during each semester.
Spring Semester - January 8, 2024 through May 31, 2024
Summer Semester - June 3, 2024 through August 30, 2024
Fall Semester - September 2, 2024 through December 20, 2024
Students wishing to take an extended amount of time off for vacation or personal reasons can reserve their regular lesson time by paying 50% of the tuition normally charged during their hiatus. Lesson times that are not reserved in this fashion will become open for sale to other clients.
